GIS and graph database?

Question

I am looking information about:

* If a graph database is of any advantage for a GIS.
* If I could "easily" use any of the graph databases with the Esri platform.

Neil,

I believe Edirlei is looking at a database has tables of nodes/points/vertices with attributes (eg. X, Y, name) and edges/lines with attributes (eg. distance, direction). Edges have a start & finish node which refers to items in the nodes table. This type of database can be implemented in Oracle & SAP HANA to name a few.
