Can't use GeoEvent Manager 10.4

Question

Hi

I am a beginner of GeoEvent.

With the help of school's IT service, I installed ArcGIS for Server 10.4 and GeoEvent on my laptop, and got them authorized.

The thing is I can use ArcGIS Server Manager in Chrome, but when I try to open GeoEvent Manager, it always says "this web page is not available".

I am following the GeoEvent Tutorial to get myself familiar with this extension, and now I have to stop here.

Could anyone help me with that?

I am using Windows 7 Enterprise, ArcGIS for Server 10.4 and GeoEvent 10.4

I upgraded my ArcGIS Server account from user to administrator, it is working now !

I don't know why, but It just works.

A few things to check.

1. Make sure the required ports are allowed through firewall

Ports used by GeoEvent Server Extension

2. Since GeoEvent Server works with https only, make sure a self-signed certificate is generated and added to the trusted site of I.E.

SSL Certificate
