Box Culvert in ArcScene

Hi all,

I am trying to create a multipatch of a box culvert for export into CityEngine. I have a line with the correct elevations, but need to extrude in both the x and y directions to get a box. When I buffer the 3d line using the standard buffer, I lose the elevations. When I use the 3d buffer I get a cylinder. I thought I could display as a strip using 3d line symbols and then extrude, but that just creates a flat "wall". The only 3d line symbology is a tube.

Any ideas how to achieve this in ArcGIS alone without using FME to extrude then rotating 90 degrees and using FME to extrude again?

Did you ever figure this problem out? I have a similar issue where I want a buffer for my line that extends horizontally, but follows the same elevation contour as my line.
