Expand legend sublayers by default?

I've pulled a few dynamic map service layers into my viewer.  All of the layers are grouped underneath one heading, as usual.  Is there anyway to make the legend tree expanded by default when the viewer is opened?  I know I'd need to write a custom behavior, and that's fine, but I'm not sure what property to access or how.

I'd actually like to expand it only partially.  That option opens the full layers so you see the legend.  I only want to open it far enough to see the list of layer names.  Ideas?

Hi,
in Application Builder open Map Contents tab and press Configure Map Contents button to call window with settings. There check option "Expand layers on add". This should work fine.
