Split polyline

Hello there,

I want to split randomly polyline into segments. but when i select the feature and start the editor the split option is blocked- why is it?

Did you select the right layer for editing when you started the editing process?

Example: If you select 'Layer 1' and you try to split a selected feature which consists in 'Layer 2' it won't work.
