ArcPad Data Manager is greyed out in ArcMap???

Question

I added to ArcPad Data Manager to Arcmap to check in and check out data and the selectable features are greyed out in ArcMap. What am I doing wrong?

I figured out why ArcPad Data Manager extension was crashing ArcMap 10.

You are right. Every-time I try to check out data through ArcPad Data Manager, ArcMap 10 crashes and I am unable to check out my data.

I just called ESRI tech support and they said they would call me back some time today. If I get an answer I will post it on here.

Just for reference purposes. I'm running.

I figured out how to fix the "ArcPad Data Manager is greyed out in ArcMap". You have to turn the extension on...of course! haha.

To do this:

1. Open Arcmap 10

2. Right Click in toolbar area and select Arcpad Data Manager.

3. At this point the Arcpad Data Manager icons are greyed out.

4. Select "Customize" - "Extensions"

5. Check ArcPad Data Manager

6. Close

This process should allow you to be able to select the icons in ArcPad Data Manager.
