I have a number of DEM's which have a manmade levee type feature that I want to remove. The feature is clear in the raster (or a tin) but I am not sure how to a) consistently delineate it and b) how to remove it to find the un-leveed surface. If the base of the levee were the same along the whole length, it would be much easier. I could just remove areas above a certain elevation, but the levee base elevation differs. Any thoughts on how this might be acomplished?
