Users in Multiple Groups with SAML-based IDPs

Question

We are unable to systematically assign users to multiple groups using SAML-based IPD. I can see that our IDP is passing the correct group names in the response but ArcGIS Portal will only assign the user to the first group listed in the SAML response. We have a need for users to belong to multiple groups. Does anyone have experience with solving this issue?

Thank you for posting this question. However, given the complexity that comes with configuring Portal to use a SAML IDP and adding groups automatically. This may be better suited in the scope of a support case.
