Well for that you will need a resize handler.

Hello Robert, this is off the current thread post but I would like to ask if there is any way to run my searches so they are not case sensitive, I would like not to have to type my searches in all caps. I am using 2.3.x version

There are several examples of non case sensitive search expressions in the provided SearchWidget.xml.

Robert, I am still using version 2.1 of your enhanced search. I was going to try to add the ability to do the multiple feature select to it. If I took a look at your 2.3.2.2 version, think it would help me do this?

lol yeah it sucks that this is changing so much. Its good but bad. Seems I can't stay with a version for very long before I have to update to the new version and re-build everything which, should not have to happen in order to update.

Hi Robert,

Have a you got any plans of linking the Point Buffer Widget with the eSearch widget. My users to do the following:

Click on Map to create buffer
Use the Search Widget to select the layer to search.
Click button to apply Graphical Search (from buffer created)
Return results

Version 2.3.3 now works with the Point Buffer Widget's buffer graphics. When Flex Viewer 2.4 comes out I have plans for even better integration between my widgets.

I have got a search on Planning Applications, and want to hyperlink one of the fields (KEYVAL), but cant seem to get it to work, I get no option to click a link or click on a button to take me to the url.

The issue is that you tell my code that there is no link field and then a couple of line latter you say there is one, that is not going to work.

For the second part of your question the option you have is what is displayed only in the grid using the gridfieldonly="true"

I have run into a bug with the results showing in the grid function. It seems that even if there is a <null> location in the database the location still has a link appear.

here is an example of the code i am working with

The table fields in the database complete the url and if there is a table field titled <null> a link still shows up with the linkprefix: ex: http://maps.clemson.edu/culandmanagementv2/<null>

Hi Robert,

I have been away from my Flex Viewer development for a while but have now returned. I am setting up a new eSearch for addresses. When you run the search, you get results but there is no text in the results window, nor is there text in the grid or in the popup. The locations are showing up but I cannot see the attributes at all. It is very odd. Do you have any idea what might be causing this? The other site I have set up with the same version of the eSearch widget works fine. Hmmm.

Sounds like you do not have the fields configured correctly the widget. Depending on how old a version of the eSearch widget you were using there has been alot to change in the SearchWidget.xml file. Look at the Enhanced Search Widget XML Configuration.pdf

Thanks for this great widget!! I have a question regarding the hyperlink field in the grid table. In the pop-ups I am able to enter a link like this:
<a href="http://surveyor.slco.org/gis/map/Corner_Reports/getImage.cfm?page_id={page_id}.pdf">View Corner Reports</a>.

Is this functionality possible here, and if not, is it something that could be in future releases. It has allowed me to solve a huge issue I had of accessing images from a SQL database.

If you are speaking of the floating datagrid then there is close button in the upper right corner like most widgets. If you are talking about the new Fixed grid than NO it is developed to always be visible.

Robert, I had a user ask about the text on the transparency slider for the buffer. They didn't know what "Adjust buff alpha" meant... I know you and I know what this means, but I was wondering if you could add this label to the other labels in the config file for a future revision?

* Both the compiled and uncompiled version can use the URL Search capability.
No code changes needed!

* Links in the results, popUp and Data grid now do not display a link if the link field contains
    a Null or empty string.
* Fixed error when clearing the graphics results and using the fixed data grid.
* Fixed issue with buffer point widget button displaying as enabled after you hover over it, even
    though it is not enabled.
