I just noticed an odd map scale:
I can type something like 1:1.000.000 but that doesn't do anything useful. the same happens in multiple projects or when just creating a new project with an empty map
Anyone an idea on what I'm doing wrong?
I found it. I'm on an old windows 7 machine in the Netherlands, perhaps thats the reason. I changed my regional settings to 'US' which solved the problem.
