A user reported that at one time data downloaded from Open Data could be filtered spatial using the map extent. We are unable to do it now. Was this a feature once that is no longer working?
In the API Explorer under Spatial Inputs this is an option to Apply Spatial Filter. This option for our Open Data site (https://gisdata-piercecowa.opendata.arcgis.com/).
Please advise.

We recently had this issue as well and it is a known bug. The larger the dataset, the longer it it takes.
From my exchange with ESRI:
"Please check out this thread:https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-hub-questions/very-long-download-times-on-filtered-datasets/td-p/316112Please note that even if you are requesting a small portion of a large file, the filtered download could still take a long time to complete. The time to create a filtered download is proportional to the size of the original dataset AND the size of the filter."
Since this is from 3.5 years ago, I would love to see future development work on this. 🙂
