I need to find the source code of the following app, especially the geoprocessing config file as .xml file. Does anyone know whether it is available for downloading? Thanks!

Sure just use this url to get the main config.xml for that particular app:
http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/flex-viewer/live/apps/config-geoprocessing.xml
and then you will see the urls to the individual GP widget xmls
http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/flex-viewer/live/widgets/Geoprocessing/GeoprocessingWidget_MessageInABottle.xml
