I have gotten an shapefile witch I want to open in an other program, but there seams to be an misscount of features in the shp file and the db file, how to i fix this?
Run a check geometry ... followed by a repair geometry if errors were found (ie null shapes)

Was the shapefile created using ArcGIS Desktop?
What application are you trying to open it?
Can you share the error message it throws while opening it in the other application?
