I'm trying to display stationing / hatching after calculating 3D length of a polyline based off a TIN. I can get a 3D length but when I display my hatching/stations they are evenly distributed and should not be going over mountain terrain. Shouldn't the station / hatching intervals get closer of further based on the terrain?.
I don't think the hatching supports 3D info. It is normally based on M information. You could perhaps translate the 3D length to the vertices and store it as M value. That could work, but will probably require some coding.
Also, I can't get it to the "Hatch interval using this this field" button to work. I got my 3D length using "add surface information " tool but wont hatch using that field.
