Import True Type Fonts Into A Style

Question

Greetings all,
We are creating a custom symbol set using Adobe Illustrator and we plan to convert the AI files into a TTF file. My problems is I cannot figure out how to convert this to a style file  or how to reference the TTF so that it shows up in the Type drop down menu when I am trying to create a marker symbol in the style manager.

Can someone please help me with the proper procedure to import my new symbol set?
