Is it possible to change a user's role after it has been set after being added to the organization?

Yes, if you are an administrator for the Organization. On My Organization, find the user and use the pull down to change their role. (DivisionLead is one of my custom Roles...Administrator, Publisher and User are the built-in roles.)

One other thing here ... you also have the option to create custom roles (and change them like Rebecca shared as well.
