You can use the USGS Earthquake feeds on the right of the following web page:

GeoJSON Summary Format

I was able to successfully create a JSON input and update a feature service using one of these feeds, i.e.:

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/feed/v1.0/summary/4.5_month.geojson
