I have old .apr files from the early 2000s from a previous employee. Is there any way to open those files in ArcGIS Pro or are they so old that they're completely incompatible?
Unfortunately, I don't believe ArcGIS Pro directly works with APR files. You can migrate APR contents into ArcGIS Desktop (see https://www.giscourse.com/importing-arcview-3-project-to-arcgis/), and then import those MXDs into ArcGIS Pro, but it is a cumbersome process.
You can open the *.apr files in a text editor if you are looking to get the file information and a few other tidbits.
Thanks for the information. I was hoping there was going to be another option than that. I don't have ArcGIS Desktop, just Pro, so unfortunately, they're just going to sit on my computer.
