Stopping Edit Widget in WAB

I must be missing something here, but how do you stop the Edit Widget in WAB so when you click on a point you get the attribute window instead of the edit window? Once I start the editing widget I can't stop it so it's always on edit mode.

I believe that it stops when you close the widget.

Thats how it works in my app
