Pop-ups appear in StoryMap even though disabled in webmap

Looking for ideas how to fix this issue: (unwanted) pop-ups are showing up in StoryMap even though the layer has pop-ups disabled.

Hi Georgiana Bostean‌,

Are you working with the new or Classic story maps? Are you able to share a link to the story map?

Do you mean the pop-ups are disabled in the web map or in the visualization tab of the hosted feature layer (Item Details > visualization > pop-up)? I would check both places and see if one is enabled.
