ArcGis Pro has the function of creating layers from selection without exporting and storing data. Is there a corresponding function in ArcMap 10.8? ArcMap 10.4 i lacking that ability.
Select the features you wish to, right click on the source layer and choose >> Selection>>Create Layer From Selected Features. If you wish this to be permanent, export the resulting layer to a new file.
