I am Project support for a government conservation team. I would like to be able to use the zoom tool tip and view the full size slide images in map tours while in edit mode.
The impacted project is a public education map tour that shows data on ecological monitoring sites. As a public facing document, it is important that we meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines the best we can. Images with text in them need a minimum font size, and I would normally check that with the zoom feature in edit mode. Since it has been removed, I have to flip back and forth between preview and edit mode to view each image zoomed in, and this is wildly inefficient.
Additionally, images smaller than 1920x1080 don't have zoom available, but this isn't stated anywhere in the edit interface. Users may be uploading images assuming they will have a zoom option, but without any indicator in edit mode, they would have to continuously consult Preview mode.
I had a map made prior to the zoom removal in edit mode, and I much prefer the ability to zoom than the current state with no zoom option. Even a toggle in settings would be preferred. Thank you.
