Sharing - Review Sharing

When sharing, or changing sharing options, I find the mandatory pop-up review intrusive to the process of sharing content. I welcome the visual reference in an item's page that gives the ability to check, just find the pop-up to be over-bearing and something that you can't switch off as a default.

I don't know what others think, but can we just have either the option to switch off by default sharing review, or have it solely as the visual reminder in the item page - it provides a more than adequate reminder?

Hi, thanks for the response. It makes perfect sense to have a way to control and review parity across a number of items, it's something I impress upon our users to always consider and understand the stack of data, map, app etc..

As said, I find the pop-up intrusive and could be managed better imho, given there's also the review reminder on the right hand side. Imagine how much better it would be with a user initiated "Permissions Check Tool" button that could be run at any time to ensure data/maps/apps have the sharing reviewed.

Of course, however, I will add that with the sharing review pop-up, whilst a reminder, it actually brings in an element of total confusion for users too. As you may expect from any organisation we have a huge mix of data/maps/app shared in groups at an organisational level, at a service and team level too, Maps can be quite data complex (especially when it comes to urban planners). Users know, when building maps from multiple sources, to ensure their map/data is shared to a similar space within content management. I've spent more time re-correcting a users sharing output due to the "review" than supporting them to have the correct sharing options in the first place.

So I suppose, in addition, my "gripe" is really from an admin's point of view where I have other processes and options to review content sharing rather than a pop-up.
