Create Network Rule for JJ Association (Duplicate Post)

Hi,

I have some doubts about creating a JJ rule for assets.

1. When I create the rule in the Add Rule geoprocessing panel, I set:

FROM ASSET TYPE = Air
TO ASSET TYPE = Sluice

However, after opening the network properties, the From and To asset types appear to change. Could anyone help to explain why it is so? My intention is that i want to ensure Air valve is associate to Sluice valve because Sluice Valve will be the asset connecting to pipeline while Air Valve will be on top of Sluice Valve.

2. Also, is my understanding correct?

FROM ASSET TYPE = asset not physically connect to the pipeline but want to associate with TO ASSET TYPE?
TO ASSET TYPE = the asset that connects directly to the pipeline?

Is my understanding correct?
