GIS Jobs - Esri Community
This is an interesting idea, @VenkataKondepati. The platform Esri Community is built on doesn't currently support functions and features like those you're describing, but I can see the value. It's something we'll keep in mind for consideration if/as more functionality becomes available.
The existing GIS Jobs User Group is valuable for discussion, networking, and sharing opportunities informally. However, a User Group is conversation-centric, not transaction-centric, and it lacks the structure required for a modern job discovery and application experience.
A dedicated Job Board would serve a different (and complementary) purpose by enabling structured job postings, direct applications, and progress tracking (applied → under review → closed). This would reduce noise, improve discoverability, and create a consistent experience for both employers and candidates—something that cannot be achieved through discussion threads alone. Together, the User Group would support community interaction and advice, while the Job Board would support execution and outcomes, strengthening the ArcGIS Community as a complete career ecosystem rather than duplicating functionality.
Hi @JesseCloutier, @DanPatterson,Thank you for the response and consideration. We can provide an opportunity to new graduates or people who are looking for a job in these difficult times. We can build a strong community to support when needed. I have faced this situation last year when I got laid off and gone through all the pains.
