Field Maps - Not allow to update the location manually

Hi,

Is anyone experiencing an issue in Field Maps where it's not allowing manual location updates, even when the setting 'Allow manual location' is enabled? This is a related feature class, data collection.

Yes, I’ve seen this behavior in Field Maps with related feature classes. Even if Allow manual location is enabled, the option won’t always appear when editing a related record — it only shows when you’re updating the parent feature geometry. A couple of things to check:

* Verify the editable layer is the parent feature class, not just the related table.

* Make sure location editing is allowed in the map settings and sharing settings.

* Test on a new web map — sometimes settings don’t fully carry over after schema changes.

If those don’t help, it might be a known limitation with related records rather than a bug in your setup.
