Is there a way to add fonts to Portal?

Is there a way to add fonts to our ArcGIS Enterprise Portal? We have some fonts that we pay for and for branding purposes we would love to be able to label features in a web map with our font. While I love making maps in Pro for our company to use in PowerPoint with the correct font, I would really love for the ability to have a more digital solution for our people.

If anyone could help that would be great.

These two pages might be a good place to start, although if you have a truly "custom" font, it might not work.

I did this by simply applying custom fonts (clicking on the font file and installing it as a system font) on the local machine where ArcGIS is installed. Then, I installed the same fonts on the virtual machine where Portal is installed. The fonts were saved as *.ttf files.

I have the font's installed on the machine. Also Portal is installed on the same machine as our base deployment. I have them as ttf files, are there other folders to install these into?

Hi. By default, you need to simply double-click on the *.ttf file. All installation processes should take place in the Windows system directories. So, in your scenario, you’re using the same machine for both the "publisher" and the "portal deployment." In this case, everything should work properly after double-clicking each *.ttf file (make sure the installation completes successfully—the "Install" button should become disabled).

Hi! I'm in the same situation as @phess_luckstone ..
I installed the font on the Portal and Server machine, and it shows up as new in ArcGIS Pro, but it isn't being applied to the portal anywhere.

Are there any extra steps I'm missing?

Browser-based, Web GIS apps built on JavaScript will not "see" fonts installed on servers or local computers. These kinds of apps stream vector fonts over the web, so simply installing a new font on a machine doesn't make it available to them. ArcGIS Pro is a desktop app that has direct permission to read standard font files installed on the local machine, so installing a font on a machine does make it available to ArcGIS Pro while not making it available to browser-based, web GIS apps.

If you are interested in working with custom fonts for Esri's JavaScript-based apps, it would be good to read Font | References | ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript. It discusses the format fonts need to be in and where and how the apps look for and get fonts.
