Extracting City Specific GTFS files from National GTFS file

Hi Esri Community,

I am working on extracting city-specific GTFS data from a national GTFS dataset. I successfully extracted route and stop data and attempted to use the join and relate options. However, I encountered issues when extracting trips, trip times, and other text files.

If anyone has experience in this area, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.

Hi Cody,

Thank you for your reply and curiosity. Yes, GTFS To Network Dataset Transit Sources is used to convert the GTFS to Transit Network for analysis which comes next. My issue is not that and you are right my problem is not specific with a kind of error; it's about file extraction from large scale (national GTFS file), which then needs rebuilding city specific GTFS file for further analysis.

When you say encountered issues, did you get any specific errors? If so, could you post them here as well? From your description it's difficult to tell exactly where the issue stems from. I'm also curious i you tried this tool here: GTFS To Network Dataset Transit Sources.
