Ability to Hide Hosted Feature/Tile Layers in a Group?

Hello,

I'm looking for a way to hide hosted feature/tile layers within a group or Organization?

I understand the importance and functionality of these, however it would be nice if they didn't clutter up the content available. I have a hosted feature layer and (2) hosted tile layers to make up this one map. Ideally, I would like them to be hidden from the group and only make the Web Map visible. This would make it easier for people to select the correct content, while also eliminating any confusion.

Hi Chris,

I was not familiar with the curated group content. While it does help a bit, the user is still able to access the hosted feature/tile layers by view all and also through their My Organization tab.. So I do understand your preference of eliminating interaction with AGOL.
Experience builder or other web app is a good work around. However, like you said it requires an additional level of effort.

Which brings me back to my initial query of being able to 'hide' layers from shared end users. I feel like you could also benefit from this as an enhancement?

Have you tried the curated group content?

* Go to group overview
* Click 'edit' under recently added content
* Change to 'featured content' and select the items you would like to be on the group landing page

You could also consider:

* Two groups, one with everything, and one with just the maps/apps. Share the second group.
* Create a landing page in Experience Builder.

Honestly we prefer end users not to interact with items or navigate ArcGIS Online. We give them a link - experience builder or other web app - that acts as a single landing page for all their content. They bookmark that, and we maintain that as the source of truth.

It's an additional level of effort but makes the end user experience significantly better while also letting us add branding and other content. We can also embed these web pages within tabs on another experience for exec teams to see all the landing pages in their own single source.

I actually did this exact same thing, haha.
It just doesn't seem ideal and like there should be a cleaner way to accomplish this.
