When trying to register the Portal machine, I get a "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'version')" error. Nothing yet on the Google machine and not sure where to go. Same account used for all other machine in the environment. Have done the WMI steps and added user to Performance Monitor users....
Anyone have thoughts? Thanks
Not really sure why it didn't occur to me, but this is also the same error I got when my username and password was incorrect.
I had to use the portaladmin account that was created when it was first deployed.

Hey @EricJohnson-HDR
Would it be possible to test the firewall by temporarily disabling it? Other than that, you could add the ports for the Monitor manually through the advanced firewall rules.
It shouldn't be a port issue unless its using something other than 30443 to talk back to the Monitor host. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Should just be 30443, something else to test, what is the version of Monitor and Enterprise you are using? Inside of Portal Admin, is version filled in?
Cody, Monitor 2024.1 and 11.3 Enterprise.
Thanks
I got that error too and for me it was wrong username/password.
ok, that was it, i used the portal admin account to "register" the Portal server and it connected. Wonder why the service account used on all the other machines works? Maybe a need to tweak the directions.
Thanks all......
I know this issue has been marked as Solved, but in my own testing this exact error occurs when you don't use a portal administrator account as specified in the Help. The Service Account will not be a portal named user but is the account that runs the Portal for ArcGIS service.
I skimmed over that part about needing a local Portal account for registering. Thanks
Yes- same for registering discovered component for ArcGIS Server - have to use an ArcGIS Serve admin account
