Whats happened to the "arcgis" R package?

In March 2024 a new R package "arcgis" was announced which was aimed at complimenting R-Bridge by providing the facility for publishing, editing and writing features in ArcGIS service. These would be a great addition to the arcgisbinding package.

The package has been removed from Cran - has it been withdrawn?
