Help needed with DatabaseConnectionProperties and a sde-connection file

I've got a .sde-connection file which holds my username and the database name. From this https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/sdk/api-reference/topic6949.html I know, you can create the credentials with DatabaseConnectionProperties  and from this https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/get-all-properties-from-enterprise-database-connection--000031500 I see that it is possible in other languages to extract username and database from an SDE file. I just don't find a method to access the values stored in my .sde-connection file. can anyone help me?
