I found out the other day that both these templates don't have the option to enable the legend on the map.
It would really helpful for both of these templates to show the range of values in the legend.

That's interesting, thank you for pointing it out, I feel like it would be more appropriate to put the legend toggle with other map interactivity toggles rather than location settings.
@Ed_ Slider and Chart Viewer templates have a legend component; it is the full setup mode of the app in the About Section. Turn off express mode by toggling it off, located in the upper left corner of the configuration. An easy way to find different options in instant apps is the search, located in the upper left corner of the configuration panel, just below the option to disable express mode. Chart Viewer also has the option to show the chart legend (for supported chart types) at the start. This is located in the manage chart section for each chart.
