How to Make Time Enabled Points Disappear Progressively

Hello Arcgis Community, 

I am wondering if there is a way to make time enabled layer points progressively disappear, rather than appear, on a map. For my layer I have landfill closure dates, so I would like the layer to start with all the landfill locations and then when the closure date occurs on the time slider I would like the point to disappear. I have looked online and can't find a way to do this. Any suggestions?

As I understood your map should be in real-time and the best approach can be utilizing Geoevent tool of ESRI.
