Please enhance the Map-Widget so we can hide layers (similar to the functionality from the "stanalone" Map-Layers-Widget #M10423
I think this would be great. There's already several tools (Locate, Scale Bar) with little gear buttons that open additional settings. It wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination to think one containing a "customize layers" switch would be doable and otherwise unobtrusive for people who just need the out-of-the-box default layers.
Thank you for your reply. I understand your inputs. It would still be usefull to enhance the default options on the MapWidget.
The actual use case is that I have a sidebar with the Map Layers widget (menu control buttons and view carousel). For quick access, I would also like to have the map widget layers displayed. Therefore, I currently have 2 "layer widgets" that do not display the same content.
I have already tried the widget controller, but I'm not yet really satisfied with handling the Widget Controller on top of a Map Widget with corner-widgets activated. E.g. I need the Measure-Widget (no stanalone widget available yet)… If a WidgetController, I would like to have it top-right first position.. but thats blocked from the measure-widget.
The purpose of the Map Layers Widget is to provide the optionality that the Layers option in the Map Widget does not. The Layers option is intended to provide a quick set up option for people who just want the defaults.
I assume you are asking for this because you want to hide map layers in a widget that looks and acts like the default widget. So you can build your own.
