Are these ethnicity variables available in the 2022/2023 release either on BA desktop or BA online? The detailed ethnicity report is no longer available but I was hoping to append these variables to generate a custom report.
Hi @LoriHatfield1 Thanks for reaching out with your question. These ACS Ethnicity varables are available at the Census Tract level in the Esri 2023 dataset.
One option for locating the variables is to go to the Data browser and filter Year for 2017-2021. You will see the data collections with available variables:
I found some documentation/instructions about accessing the ACS data - specifically the ASC Tract Asian Categories using Business Analyst Online. I rarely access data via the Living Atlas as I previously had access to the ACS data when I downloaded my BA datasets; however, I wasn't able to find this data in any of those datasets recently. Still struggling with finding these variables. Is the above screenshot from BAO or in ArcGIS Pro and if the desktop, are the variables in the downloaded dataset or only through the portal? I even brought down the
Living Atlas layer in BAO but I don't see the detailed ethnicity variables i.e. Asian Indian, Filipino). Any help would be much appreciated.
