Nearby App Filter does not honor View Layer Definition

Hello. I have a few filters within the Nearby Instant App for user input. I have a view layer that queries out certain attributes in fields. However, in the filter the attribute that is filtered out is still showing, which can cause confusion. Can this be configured differently?

(This might apply also for Sidebar app but have not confirmed/tested)

This issue is still persisting where field values that are filtered out in the view definition are still showing up as part of the domain list option for Instant App Nearby filters. This will cause confusion as no features exist with that value, and there will be no results. This seems like unexpected behavior - I am wondering if there is a workaround or fix.
