Arc Attribute Information

When Traversing through an arc with an arc Length and Radius information given the arc is created. If I select that arc and review the (SHAPE.STLength) through the Attributes Table the length does not match the information that I used to create the arc. It will always display at least a couple hundredths of an inch off from my calculations. This is a consistent thing. This is Not an idea but a program issue.

Could have more to do with your layer's coordinate precision than the program. Rarely will you use a digitizing tool to go X feet and have the st_length output be the same exact value. What is the XY precision of the layer you're working with?

Did you make sure that the spatial reference you are using and the project units match?

For example, if your spatial reference uses US Survey Feet, make sure the project units are also set to US Survey Feet.

Never said anything about using a Digitizing tool. The Cogo traverse option in Pro. Reading about XY Tolerance (Environmental settings) cautions not to override. I do not know if this is the issue.

Traverse is a digitizing tool. I mean any tool where you enter a distance, angle, etc. You can put "10 feet", but if there's no point in the coordinate grid at that point, it snaps it to the nearest one, which will cause your actual measured distance to be ever-so-slightly off from the value you entered.
