Map layers and legend widget in one

I'd like to be able to see the symbols in the layer list and have users toggle off and be able to know what colors mean based off of 1 widget. If there is some customization that can be done for this to happen I am all ears

Agreed. The combo legend/layer list is much needed.

10000% agree with this. For many non-technical GIS users, having both the layer list and legend in one can be a lot more intuitive and easy to use.
