Consistent default data type in Create Feature Class vs. Fields View

ArcGIS Pro 3.1.2; mobile geodatabase

When creating a new field via the Create Feature Class geoprocessing tool, the default data type is Text.

But when creating a new field using the Fields View, the default data type is Long.

That seems inconsistent.

Should that behavior be changed so that the default data types are consistent when creating new fields?
