You can delete individual items by removing delete protection from the settings:

However, some parts of ArcGIS Online such as Hub are better managed through the Hub interface. If you delete individual components you may end up breaking a hub site by accident or be left with remnant content. see delete a site vs delete a page:

This is because these Apps require groups and a number of items to function. Another example is Survey123. Deleting the service manually will result in the form item still existing, and then users will fail to submit. Managing through Survey123 app/connect ensures that all items are updated or removed.
