Experience Builder has so much potential, but we can't implement it until a batch editor capability is added. It is so convenient to be able to select multiple features and edit their attributes simultaneously rather than selecting one-by-one.

I think providing field customizations for Batch editing at the widget level is under consideration. The recommended approach for customizing your editing experience remains to configure editing Forms for your editable layers. See: Configure forms for attribute editing (Map Viewer)—ArcGIS Online Help | Documentation
Since it is possible to create different Forms for a same layer in different maps, I suggest creating a map tailored to your Batch editing workflows and customizing a Form for batch editing.
Just a quick example to illustrate what I mean:
@AlixVezina - I think the issue is that Interact with a Map mode only allows turning on/off Capabilities for each layer (Add/Delete/update), whereas Attribute only mode allows turning on/off Capabilities AND it allows Configure fields (to show/editable).
Could Esri add "Configure fields" options to the Interact with a Map mode?

For attribute only editing, you still have the ability to customize the editing capabilities for each layer in the map.
Make sure you only allow for Update records > Attribute in the layer's capabilities. Example below:
In Web AppBuilder, the Batch Attribute Editing widget only supported being connected to editable feature layers from your map and did not support editing records from standalone layers and table layers.
Once implemented, support for batch editing in the "Attribute only" mode is an enhancement in Experience Builder that will allow you to also batch edit from feature layers and also table layer that are added to your app but not necessarily also in your map.
It seems most users on this thread are seeking the Attribute-Only version of a Batch Attribute Editor widget, much like we have in WebApp Builder. This is distinct from the functionality now provided in the Edit widget.
Since this post is marked as Implemented now, I have followed @Amanda__Huber's suggestion and created a new post for an attribute-only batch attribute widget: Add an Attribute-Only Batch Attribute Editor Widge... - Esri Community.
@MollyJackson Maybe make it a separate Community idea so we can all go Kudos it and keep it on the EB team's radar? Currently this one is marked as "implemented" so they may not go back and look at further enhancement requests. Just a suggestion 🙂

Batch editing is now available in the Edit widget when using "Interact with a Map widget" mode. Enable the option in the General settings.

From what I can see, batch editing is only available in the Map Viewer and is not supported in Experience Builder yet. I'd love for someone to show me that I'm wrong!
Hey all, just in! It looks like Batch Attribute editing is now supported in AGOL's Experience Builder. They followed through, and it's actually here now!I haven't tested yet, or looked to see if there's any nuances/issues with it but just wanted to share the good news:

Just so everyone is aware. You can achieve batch edit functionality using Web Editor Application however it is very limited. If you dont have any custom expressions in popup/labels or forms set ups you can only bulk update 200 records at the time. Otherwise limit is 20 records. I hope this limit will not be a problem in June release.
@Jianxia would I be correct in assuming that after the June release, ExB Developer Edition will also be updated with this functionality within a few weeks and batch editing will be possible with ExB Developer Edition and Enterprise 11.2?
@Jianxia Why wait until Enterprise 12? That's after 3.X and Web App Builder is retired and many of us can't migrate from Web App Builder until this functionality exists in Experience Builder. Is this tool really that difficult to develop? People have been asking for it for over 3 years now.

Far and away one of the most poorly handled situations from esri to date in my opinion. I personally would love to know exactly WHY its been so difficult to add to experience builder. fFor at least 2 years now this has been a thing... At this point, no doubt esri is just trying to fit a square peg in a round hole... if so, they simply must drop back the sunset date for webapp builder until this is fixed.

Hi Everyone. I have been playing with Batch Edit in Web Editor while this is a step in the right direction it is not the same as batch editor we had in Web App Builder. You can only edit one Layer at the time. In Web App Builder you could update one field accross multiple layers as long as they are configured the same way. Please try to consider this functionality and allow users to specify which field and what layers we are planning to bulk update.

That's correct a form would need to be created for any layer within the web map. The form you configure for the layer in the map will be used for both single edits and batch edits though. For any further questions regarding this, I'd suggest reaching back to the Web Editor community.
Hi, original poster here. My colleagues and I are really hoping this June date is the end of this trial. I have migrated most of our internal maps to Experience Builder, and users are stuck editing one feature at a time for now. ESRI might need to learn a lesson I learned the hard way: under promise and then surprise with faster/better results. We've been hearing "next quarter" for months.
@AlixVezina is the June 2025 date set? The date for this feature has been moved back consistently since they said it would come out in Q2 2024, then Q4 2024, then "early" 2025. I have a meeting with some municipal clients that are getting frustrated with not being able to update their Apps that we said we would need to do since 2023.This may be a discussion held elsewhere. For Web Editor, I was told by CragiGillgrass that the ability to configure fields to be available for batch editing or ability to limit them is not available and isn't being considered for their June release.
