Basic ArcMap question: Trying to add numbers in my Legend to identify housing properties similar to this image. Thank you in advance.
There might be a more elegant solution, but my first thought is to have an attribute column with the numerical ID. You can use this attribute for labeling features on the map frame as well as in the legend.
