LAS Dataset Vertical Units

Hello! I am relatively new to working with las datasets. I have a local scene setup and was wondering why my las dataset is showing vertical units as undefined? Each point in the point cloud seems to have the proper elevation. Do I need to define a vertical coordinate system? I would appreciate any insight, thank you!

Hi there,

I'm pretty sure you will need to define the projection with a vertical coordinate system, even if it has a z value in the geometry. If you don't already know, there is a geoprocessing tool called Define Projection that will define the vertical coordinate system. It looks like you are working in state plane, so I believe you would select NAVD88_height. This is a late response but I hope this helps!
