Map View Online Layer Search - Allow the layer search tool to zoom in on data that spans 180 E/W

Alaska has numerous statewide datasets that span 180 E/W. When searching for a specific record in a layer, the web map viewer zooms out to a full worldwide extent, instead of zooming into the selected record.  The old Classic View would allow the search to zoom into the record by default. There needs to be a way to override the search tool to only search for in a customized area.

I am also getting this behavior around New Zealand, and doesn't present in the Classic Map Viewer.
