Hello, folks
When I try to add a built in member to Portal for ArcGIS, I get an error message (unable to add the following member: xyz) I attached a screenshot named screen1. I checked the logs in portal and I found a log message (User's current role does not allow specified level to be set) I attached a screen shot named screen2. I tried to add the member in different ways once manually and the other from a csv file and both ways lead to the same error. I am sure about compatibility between user types and roles and they are ok. Also I added a member successfully with the same criteria in another VM. Could anybody help?
Environment specs:
VM with Windows 10 Pro
Portal 10.8.1
I succeeded to solve the problem by adding default user type and role in new member defaults in portal setting. Although that I am happy the problem is solved but it is really a weird thing.
