shapefile coordinates with extra zeros added

arcGIS Ori 2.9.3

adding shapefile extra zeros were added to the lat long coordinates - eg. 0.0009345 (see screen shot)

This same shapefile which was created with arcinfo, works fine in other GIS programs.

Is there a fix for this?

sorry for the confusion - it turns out that the shape file was corrupted.
