Feature Set input keep disappearing arcGIS pro model

Question

I am using a Feature Set as a selecting feature input for a select by layer tool in modelbuilder. every time I changed something else or validate the input disappears and the feature set makes the entire model invalid. I prefer using feature layers for this purpose but my instructor insists on feature sets. (ArcGIS Pro 2.8). Why is that happening and what should d I do?
