Adding Workforce Notes before starting assignment

We just began using ArcGIS Workforce rather than Workforce for ArcGIS, and something we noticed is that our mobile workers cannot add notes before starting the assignment.

Due to the customer-facing nature of our assignments, most of our mobile workers need to add comments (pre-visit checks, etc) before attending and starting the job. A workaround we have found for now is that the assignment status must be changed to In Progress, the notes are added, and then the status is reverted back to Active. 

I am wondering if the capability to add notes before the job 'Starts' would be something that is being added in the future? 

I have attached a couple of screenshots which show that the option to add a note only appears once the job is In Progress. We have tested this both on iPhone and Android.

Hello @mackenzie_firstname 

Unfortunately, we don't have any plans to change this behavior in Workforce or as part of the effort to add the Workforce capability to Field Maps. We now require the assignment to be Started before any changes are made due to how the changes are sync'd with the feature service in the Organization. If we allowed the Notes to be added prior to Start; it would result in edits being overwritten.

Are you open to a call to discuss your workflow with Workforce to dig into this a bit further?
