Hi,
I was able to publish my ArcGIS Pro project to Web Scene, but the 3D Building footprint layer isnt draiing in the Scene Viewer. I do see the layer listed, and able to change the Symbology but cannot get the layer to draw on the map. I followed the steps mentioned here:
Authoring 3D Layers and Creating Web Scenes in ArcGIS Online (esri.com)
Yes, that makes sense. Even the ESRI support tech wasn't sure why I wasn't able to publish Multipatch directly. We have enterprise license so it shouldn't be an issue. At least now we know of a workaround if there's a need.
This wont publish a multipatch feature layer but will create a 3D Object scene layer from the SLPK.
Not sure why, but I was able to publish the Multipatch layer after converting it into a 3DObject Scene layer Package.
Appreciate you spending your time on this. Will look into the license part. Thanks again!
I was able to publish from the hosted feature layer generated from the zipped gdb. https://www.arcgis.com/home/webscene/viewer.html?layers=ce5d13048fba41809f2b0c0a326e35e2
If you are still having issues I think you should contact support. but trial or developer setups do not support publishing multipatch hosted feature layers.
Please find it attached here:
Can you share the zipped gdb?
Yes, I did.
When you upload the zipped gdb with just the multipatch feature class in it did you click Publish Hosted Layer?
https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-online/3d-gis/how-to-publish-scene-layers-in-arcgis-online/
I am using my Organization's user account, and it shouldn't be a trial license.
I tried uploading the zipped gdb as well, but nothing is coming thru onto the AGO side?
Somehow neither the Feature hosted layer nor the Multipatch have any features in them, though the Jobs pane is showing successful when I published the Web scene again from ArcGIS Pro?
From the Multipatch feature layer item details page you should see a publish button and click Publish > Scene Layer. This will create the 3D Object scene layer. You can also check on the feature layer that it shows Multipatch geometry and on the data tab there are feature records returned.
I am getting this error:
-are you using a trial or developer account to publish?
-can you upload a gdb with just the multipatch feature class in it to you account through My content and a zipped gdb and see if that works?
How can publishing it to AGO make the layer empty? I am seeing the feature in Pro and its the same one that got published?
I followed the same steps as mentioned in ur article? Do you want me to re do the whole thing again?
Thanks, it looks like that multipatch feature layer is empty. When I query the features in that service none are returned.
I have changed the sharing on everything to public for this scene and all its associated Services.
Can you share the Feature Layer associated with that Scene Layer.. it looks like its still private.
This is what I am seeing:

The Building_Multi_3D is the layer created by using Layer 3D to Feature class tool. Thanks for your help.
Was a WFL with multipatch geometry type published? When I looked at the FL in the map it has this grouping. To have a 3D Object you will need a multipatch Feature Class in the scene in Pro and then that will generate a feature layer with multipatch geometry to go with the 3D Object scene layer

Can you share the web scene and layers? You can create a group and invite russell_jsapi into it if you cant share publicly
This is what it shows
Can you check the jobs pane in Pro to see if the job for the scene layer completed?
Here's the difference in Scene Viewer vs. Pro
